  • MCAS Portal- Parents Evening Bookings

    Fri 24 Feb 2023

We are excited to be relaunching our parent portal - My Child at School (MCAS). You can access the portal online at www.MyChildAtSchool.com or by downloading the app on iOS and Android. Your child will be bringing home login details and instruction sheets today or early next week - please watch out for these big white envelopes and activate (or log back in to your account if you’ve previously set up your account) as soon as possible.

For the upcoming Spring parents evenings you will need access to MCAS s that you can book your own appointments. There will be no slips and staff will not be sending times home or making appointments, MCAS will be the only way to book a time to see your child’s teacher. We will let you know when bookings go live!

If you need help getting set up please do get in touch with the Office, and they will be able to assist you. Thank you!

  • Salvation Army Band

    Fri 09 Dec 2022

Today we celebrated Christmas Jumper Day and the school character trait compassion, with a very special musical assembly. Our Chair and Vice Chair of Governors, Mr Baxter and Mr Hirst, were able to join us as the whole school community got into the Christmas spirit, as our friends from the Salvation Army brass band came to school to perform some traditional carols and festive favourites. The children sang along to Jingle Bells and Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer and a loud rendition of We Wish You a Merry Christmas. A huge thank you to the Salvation Army band for their time and the work they do for others especially at this time of year.

  • Christmas Fair

    Mon 05 Dec 2022

A huge thank you to everyone for the Christmas Fair on Friday. It was fantastic to see you all in school and supporting the PTA fundraising. The event was started at 2.30 by our special guest Paddy. Children in Year 6 had organised games stalls and we had a number of small businesses attend in the main hall. There was a music café with Miss Andrews and lots of people visiting Santa. Well done to all our raffle winners and thank you to all the companies that donated prizes. It was a brilliant event. A special mention to the PTA for all their hard work and Miss Harper for coordinating it all.

  • Free Style Football

    Mon 28 Nov 2022

Today we were visited by Ash Randall, a freestyle footballer who holds an unbelievable 25 World Records! He demonstrated his incredible skills in a whole school assembly and talked to the children about failure. He explained that one of his tricks took over a year to learn and that he failed at it thousands of times before he mastered it. We linked this to our Wheatcroft character trait of resilience. Every class then enjoyed a workshop where they got the chance to try out new skills, which they thoroughly enjoyed. ⭐️⚽️πŸ’ͺ

A big thank you to Mr Collins who organised this event for school.

  • Town Hall School Council Meeting

    Thu 24 Nov 2022

Our School Council Representatives did a truly fantastic job today in the Town Hall at our School Council meeting. They confidently and articulately shared the thoughts and opinions of their class mates in the Council Chamber. Everyone used the microphones to speak and helped us better understand school life from the children's perspective. There were lots of positive things celebrated along with some requests for more playtime equipment and some new clubs. We were joined by the Deputy Mayor and other special guests who gave us a tour. We all signed the visitors book and even sat in a chair Winston Churchill once sat in! Well done everyone! ⭐
