Roman's in Year 3
Wed 29 Jan 2020Year 3 had a really interesting morning with visitors from Malton Museum today. The children found out lots about Roman art (mosaics), dress, armour and how the Romans lived over two thousand years ago They also learnt how to work as achaeologists sifting through pottery, bones and stones. Miss Clapham organised the visit to help with their history topic this term. -
Snake Davis visit
Wed 15 Jan 2020We have had a memorable musical day with international musician Snake Davis. During the morning, Snake did two performance to KS2 pupils and then KS1 and Bluebells and demonstrated all the musical instruments from around the world. He also played some of his famous saxophone solos from Take That and George Michael tracks. Snake then did group workshops with Y5 and Y6 pupils and the whole Y4 class.
After school, Snake joined the school orchestra and taught about improvising.
Snake wrote, "Wonderful day at an inspiring school!"
