Tutankhamun:The Day of Days
Fri 15 Jul 2022Congratulations to all the Year 6 pupils and KS2 Singing Squad for their Tutankhamun performances on Tuesday afternoon and last night. The children were outstanding with their acting and singing and our VIP visitors, Lady Heather Ayckbourn and the Deputy Mayor of Scarborough, were full of praise for the children as well as for the fantastic audience last night. It was wonderful to see the standing ovation from the audience at the end last night as the children saw how their performance had affected their families and visitors.
Mr Bowes took some wonderful photographs of the production which I hope will bring back memories from last night (see photographs).

Y6 Children's University Graduation
Thu 07 Jul 2022This evening, Mr Levett and I were so proud to see 21 of our Year 6 pupils graduate with the Children's University at Scarborough's Spa last night - many congratulations!
These pupils have been collecting learning hours for a range of different activities inside and outside of school since Year 5. These are activities that the children have chosen to do.
They had to process across the stage, shake hands with the Deputy Mayor of Scarborough and receive their certificate from a University of Hull representative.
Thank you to all the families for supporting their child at this event and keep encouraging the learning activities in the future.

PTA Summer Fair
Fri 01 Jul 2022It was wonderful to have our first PTA Summer Fair since 2019 after school tonight and see so many of our families on site again.
The event was opened by the Mayor and Mayoress of Scarborough just after 3pm and although the weather was showery, it didn't stop the fun!
In total, £970 was raised which is a brilliant total and will support all our pupils by subsidising off site visits and visitors in school.
A massive thank you to all the PTA members, parents, teachers and pupils who ran all the activities which included: face painting, Whack a rat, Beat the Goalie, Netball shooting, Hook a Duck, cake stalls, hot dogs and drinks, tombola, raffle, giant hoopla, Guess the Teddy name, High Low card game, Bottle stall, craft stalls and pupil run games.
