Welcome to the Year 3 page!
Miss Clapham is the class teacher. We are also supported by Mrs McGlinchey and Mrs Hillion.
We have an exciting year ahead as we begin our journey through Key Stage 2.
We will learn to become independent and resourceful learners throughout the year.
We will be learning about lots of new topics. These include: Stone Age, Super Scarborough, Around the World, Roman Britain, Green Fingers and All You Can Eat.
We will be focusing on our local area as a driver for our learning through all the curriculum subjects, e.g. looking at rock formations on the coastline.
We hope to incorporate off-site visits connected to our topics to help create memorable learning experiences.
In music, Miss Andrews will be teaching the class to play the recorder and learn to read music.
Things to remember:
Everyday - Reading book and reading record.
Monday and Friday - P.E. kits.
Spelling homework to hand in by Thursday each week.
Spelling test every Friday for children's personal spellings.
KIRF tests each Tuesday.
