  • All pupils Return

    Fri 12 Mar 2021 Headteacher
    Dear Parent/Carer
It has been fantastic to see all our pupils return this week and I do want to congratulate them on how well they have settled back into school life - well done! School staff are really delighted at the work ethic and good behaviour shown.
PE kit - please can you remember to send in PE kit as we are trying to ensure that pupils are getting plenty of exercise to restore their health and well being following lockdown. We are adjusting out timetable to allow more time for well being activities following the two months away from school.
Parking - many more families seem to be illegally parking at the front of the school at the end of the day and not using the free car parking at Sea Cliff car park. Please be considerate to those families who have blue badges and have been unable to park near to school this week. The walk from Sea Cliff car park allows all pupils to enjoy some fresh air and exercise and is the healthy way to arrive for a school day.
Have a good weekend and plenty of rest after a busy first week back.
    Miss Hartley
  • First Week -March

    Fri 05 Mar 2021 Headteacher
    Dear Parent/Carer
I am really looking forward to seeing all our pupils back on Monday morning. In my interview with the Scarborough News this week, I said that all parents/carers who have been working so hard on the learning should be given a Headteacher sticker for their endeavour this term - please see attached! This also applies to the pupils at home and school who have persevered so well during a very difficult few months.
That's TV (channel 7) rang today to find out how we are getting ready for next week so have a look at 6pm for the answer!
    Timings for this term:
    8.30am-8.50am - pupils dropped off
    8.50am School starts (gates locked)
    2.50pm: Bluebells leave
    2.55pm: Y1 & Y2 leave
    3pm Y3 & Y4 leave
    3.05pm Y5 & Y6 leave

The Filey Road gate will be open for KS2 pupils & siblings to use before and after school from Monday.

At the end of the day, please can all parents maintain a social distance from each other and wear a face mask while on the school site. If you cannot wear a mask because of medical exemption, staff will be happy to bring pupils to the gate.
90% of school staff have not yet been vaccinated and I suspect many of you as well so our Governors insist that these safety rules are followed by everyone for everyone's sake.
    Have a good weekend.
    Miss Hartley
