• Carol Singing at St Cecilia's

  Mrs Beedham and Miss Andrews took a group from our school Singing Squad to sing some Christmas songs at Saint Cecilia's nursing home this morning.

  Mrs Beedham  set up the link with the nursing home this term and the children from our Character Education team have really enjoyed visiting and getting to know the residents.

  

• Y4 Band project

  After just twelve weeks of learning to play a musical instrument, pupils in Year 4 performed different pieces for their families this morning including Jingle Bells!

  The musical Band project is run by Miss Andrews on a Wednesday afternoon and every child has the opportunity to learn to play a musical instrument for free over the year.  School governors have bought the instruments last year which means we can keep running this unique project.

  In addition, Year 4 pupils also won the Autumn term attendance party with 96.9% - congratulations to all the pupils and their families.

• Key Stage 2 Christmas Performance

  This afternoon, our Key Stage 2 pupils performed a musical version of the Christmas story - Little Angels.

  The singing, drama and dancing were wonderful.  Our school orchestra also performed and played a selection of Christmas songs.

• Follow the Star Nativity

  Over the last two days, pupils in Bluebells, Class 1 and Class 2 have performed a brand new musical version of the Christmas Story called Follow the Star to their families. Congratulations to all the children on their excellent acting and singing.  Thanks to all the families for supporting their child and being such an appreciative audience.
