  • February-final week

    Fri 26 Feb 2021 Headteacher
    Dear Parent/Carer
It has been so lovely to see some sunshine and blue skies this week and definite signs that spring is coming.
School staff are really looking forward to seeing all pupils return on Monday 8th March and are planning activities that will help settle every home learning child back into school.
Please try to complete the last week of home learning so that your child is ready for starting lessons in a week.
Some very exciting news-North Yorkshire County Council have granted planning permission for us to build a MUGA (multi use games area) on part of one of our KS2 fields. This will give us an all year round sports resource for children to use for PE lessons, playtimes and for after school clubs and tournaments (see attached photo).
Have a lovely weekend and enjoy some sunshine and fresh air.

Please see our latest Newsletter in the parent section on the website.

I hope everyone has a well deserved rest next week over the half term holiday and look forward to seeing more pupils returning to school next half term.

Stay safe over the holiday and keep following the government guidance for sticking to family bubble groups and avoid any other mixing.

  • February-1st Week

    Fri 05 Feb 2021 Headteacher
    Dear Parent/Carer
February has arrived and the prospect of some snow next week! Just a reminder for those pupils attending school - if staff are unable to get into school safely then you will receive a text by 8am to update you on whether school will be open.
We have had a quiet week at school and I hope the children working at home are managing the daily tasks as well as possible. Just a reminder, please try to spend half the time on PE/Well Being activities including: having a walk outside, doing a work out/Zumba session, making a jig-saw, solving a puzzle, doing an art activity, constructing models, listening to some music or making some etc. Please see our Wheatcroft Home learning Policy under the parents section (School Policies) which shows the time each class needs to spend on the daily tasks. Please have plenty of time away from screens if possible.
We are all looking forward to the half term holiday next Friday and a well deserved rest for everyone.
Have a peaceful weekend and please stay safe.
    Miss Hartley x
