• Harvest Festival 2018

  Thank you to all our families for their wonderful generosity in sending in food, provisions and money for the Rainbow Centre.  Trish Kinsella and Keith Revell from the Rainbow Centre came and shared what the Rainbow Centre does and what a difference all the donations will make for hundreds of local people. As well as all the food and produce, you kindly donated £90 in money.

  Congratulations to all the children for their excellent performance at our Harvest Festivals.

• Summer Reading Challenge

  Once again, it was great to see how many of our pupils completed this summer holiday's reading challenge.  25% of our pupils were given their certificates at this Friday's Achievement assembly by Sandra from the Scarborough Library service. Congratulations to all those who completed the challenge.

• Girls football team win tournament

  On Tuesday evening, Mrs Smith took our Year 5/6 girls football team to the Flamingoland Stadium to compete in the Scarborough and District cup tournament.

  In the group stages, the team won 2 games, lost one and drew one and went through to the semi final. In the semi final, they beat Newby and Scalby school 2-0 and then played St Martin's in the final. The score was 1-1 at full time and then it was sudden death penalties.  Libby scored our first goal and then the penalty was missed so Wheatcroft were crowned champions!  The whole team played brilliantly in all the games and teamwork was excellent.
