  • Autumn term Attendance Winners

    Wed 16 Dec 2020 Headteacher
Congratulations to Bluebells and Year 1 who were joint winners of our Autumn term Attendance Party today with an amazing attendance of 97.8% -Wow!
The pupils were treated to a party with cake, juice, dancing and games in the hall (separately of course).
Also, well done to all Year 2 pupils who were so close to winning and missed out by 0.2% with 97.6% - Mrs Earle is very disappointed not to have won but is aiming to win the Spring term party!
Please don't forget Christmas jumper day for Christmas dinner tomorrow - Thursday 17th December.

  • Christmas Performances

    Fri 11 Dec 2020 Headteacher

We have enjoyed a lovely week of Christmas performances from every class in school.  Key Stage 2 classes were filmed recording their favourite Pop UK song and the three brand new Pop UK songs have been shared with all families.  Key Stage 1 and Bluebells also recorded some Christmas songs with our Year 2 class under Mrs Earle's direction performing a Nativity play, Making Room.

Congratulations to every child for their musical contributions this week and for bringing some Christmas joy to all their families.

Thank you to the PTA for funding the Key Stage 2 Pop UK recordings and for funding Image Musical Theatre's Snow Queen for all classes as well as funding the live streaming of the Gruffalo play this morning.

    Have a peaceful weekend.

  • First Week in December

    Fri 04 Dec 2020 Headteacher

What a strange day in school - no phones ringing, no emails and very little internet caused by a faulty line which we hope will be sorted on Monday.
I have visited some classes this week to light the first candle of advent (see photograph) and talk about hope and light which seems very apt in a week when the first Covid vaccines have arrived in the UK.
More good news this week - Pop UK have sent through our brand new Key Stage 2 recorded Christmas tracks ready to share with families - definitely a contender for the Christmas No 1! Also, Bluebells, Year 1 and Year 2 are in full rehearsal for their Christmas mini performance with Year 2 providing the drama! We will film this and share with all KS1 and Bluebells families before the end of term.
    Have a peaceful weekend.

    Miss Hartley
