This afternoon, our Year 6 class performed their own play at Scarborough's internationally famous Stephen Joseph Theatre.  Wheatcroft was one of a group of Scarborough schools who participated in the annual Outreach Drama Festival which gives pupils a unique opportunity to write, rehearse and perform their own, original play based on a theme. This year's theme was Metamorphosis.  Every Year 6 pupil was involved and it was a great collaborative team effort.  Mrs Thompson directed the play and crafted the scenes together assisted by Mrs Sweeney-Chisholm who choreographed the dancing and movements.  Congratulations to every pupil for their memorable performance today and as always a big thank you to all the families who came to support as well as our Year 5 class.
