Y6 Children's University Graduation
This afternoon, representatives from the Children's University came to school to present Year 6 pupils with their graduation certificates as well participating in full gowns.
In total 24/30 of our Year 6 pupils graduated which considering the Lockdown over the last 16 months is a fantastic achievement. The scheme works by the children acquiring learning hours from the beginning of Year 5 to the end of Year 6. These learning hours have to be chosen by the children in a wide variety of ways (sport, music clubs, visiting museums, community work) and they have to opt in to the activity. We think this is a key lesson for future life and prepares pupils for being life long learners.
