Wheatcroft welcomes the Tour de Yorkshire

Mrs Earle's Year 2 class and Mr Taylor's Year 6 class to put together an artistic contribution to celebrate the Tour de Yorkshire cycle race passing Wheatcroft school on Filey Road.

Class 2 made a giant collage bicycle and Class 6 used themselves to create the race title.

I hope lots of you will go out and support this international race tomorrow afternoon (5th May). The cyclists will pass along Filey Road twice during the afternoon as they race to Filey and then back to the finish line around the Marine Drive.  There are lots of free events for children at the finish line and in the Open Air Theatre.
