Summer Term
Our new Summer term began on Monday this week and has started like no other with the majority of pupils and staff learning together from home. Wheatcroft is partially open and we have a small group of pupils in school with just two staff on site.
I hope everyone managed some rest and relaxation over the Easter holiday and that you are keeping as well as possible under these very difficult circumstances. At least the lovely warm Spring weather is helping lift spirits during this national Lockdown and I hope you are managing some daily exercise.
This half term, our main home schooling is following the daily BBC Maths, English and other subject lessons. These daily lessons are available on:
https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/dailylessons
They come with helpful tutorials and activities. As I said on Class Dojos - don't worry if you haven'ta printer, just record answers in the exercise books or on a piece of paper.
A word of warning - try to spend up to an hour on the Maths and English if you are a KS1 pupil and up to two hours maximum if you are a KS2 pupil. DO NOT SPEND TOO MUCH TIME doing the online learning and miss out on all the wonderful practical and creative learning you have been doing. You need to do both and have time to relax.
I will keep you updated via our website, Class Dojos (every week) and phonecalls.
