Gervase Phinn opens new library
We have enjoyed a very memorable day as special VIP international author Gervase Phinn opened our new school library.
During the morning, Mrs Earle organised the giving out of brand new books for every pupil in the school, courtesy of funding from the National Literacy Trust.
Gervase arrived after lunch and then did a talk for the whole school about his books and inspiration for his ideas including some life like animal puppets!
After the talk, Gervase officially opened our brand new school library along with school governors, parents, grandparents, a North Yorkshire adviser and pupils from every class.
Thanks to all the families who came after school to meet Gervase.
A huge thanks to all the people who have made today possible.
