Wheatcroft CP School PTA

At Wheatcroft Community Primary School, we are proud to have an active and dedicated Parent Teacher Association (PTA). Our PTA plays an important role in strengthening our school community and ensuring every child benefits from enriching experiences that support their learning, wellbeing and personal development.

Who We Are

The PTA is made up of parents, carers and staff who work together to support the school’s community values of Respect, Perseverance, Integrity and Courage. We welcome everyone—whether you can give time, ideas or help at events. Every contribution makes a difference.

What We Do

The PTA raises funds, builds community connections and helps create memorable opportunities for pupils. Through events, activities and shared projects, we aim to:

• Bring families together and celebrate our inclusive, supportive school culture

• Enhance the school environment and enrich pupils’ experiences

• Support wellbeing by creating events where children feel a strong sense of belonging

• Provide additional resources that go directly into improving learning and play

Recent PTA support has included contributions to outdoor learning, library development, classroom resources and whole-school celebrations.

Everything the PTA does links to our belief that happy, confident children learn best. PTA events promote:

• Connection – helping children and families feel part of the Wheatcroft community

• Wellbeing – creating joyful, positive experiences beyond the classroom

How You Can Get Involved

There are many ways to be part of the PTA, including:

• Helping at an event

• Sharing ideas or skills

• Joining planning groups

• Supporting fundraising activities

• Offering a small amount of time when you can

You don’t need to commit to regular meetings—every bit of support counts.

Working Together

The strength of Wheatcroft CP School comes from its community. When parents, carers and staff work together, we create a richer, more connected school experience for every child. The PTA is a key part of that partnership, and we are always keen to welcome new faces.

Previous PTA Events

The Colour Run!

We hosted the Colour Run for the first time on March 8th 2024. There were over 240 runners and lots of smiley faces and lots of paint. We were very busy counting all the sponsorship money and our Grand Total profit is......an AMAZING £1247.24!
