Meet the Team!

We are now the oldest children in Key Stage 1  and look forward to learning lots of new things. We will develop our confidence, independence, knowledge and skills as we go through the year and prepare to become Key Stage 2. We look forward to sharing our adventures on our class page and School Dojo.

Our topic this half term is "Into The Woods". We will be reading lots of woodland stories including "The Minpins", "Wolves" and "Bear and Rabbit". All of our Literacy work will be linked to these texts and our Science work will also be linked to this topic, focussing on woodland habitats. In Maths this half term we begin with place value and then move onto addition and subtraction.

Our class teachers are Mrs Jones (Monday to Wednesday) and Mrs Hayes (Thursday and Friday.) Every Wednesday afternoon Mrs Hillion teaches PE. Miss Marshall and Miss Warrington support the class throughout the week.

Our school council representatives ensure the thoughts and opinions of Year 2 are listened to and shared at school council meetings.

• Coat (hat and gloves for bad weather)
• Packed Lunch if not having a school dinner
• Book bag - book and reading record
• Change of clothes if required
• Library book - changed on a Friday
