END OF KEY STAGE TEST AND ASSESSMENT RESULTS 2023

At the end of each key stage, children are formally assessed by the use of nationally determined tasks and tests.  Teachers also provide parents with their considered, professional opinion of the level of each child's attainment based on their work over the year in the core subjects of English, Mathematics and Science.

When compiling statistics for publication the DfE uses the percentage of children reaching the expected standard at the end of Year 2 and Year 6.  Here is the comparison between Wheatcroft School and the National performance:

The table shows the most recent results for Wheatcroft alongside the national results. They show the percentages of children achieving the expected levels of attainment.

However, the progress of children is paramount and pupils make good progress at Wheatcroft.  As each cohort varies with the number of pupils with special needs, these results do fluctuate from year to year. One child = 3% at Wheatcroft.
