Design & Technology - launching products
Firstly, we research the Roman's invention of the trebuchet catapult. We looked at how this worked using a lever and what the purpose of this was. Secondly, we designed our own launching product based on the lever design. We created our own user and purpose. Some children got really creative with this! We had lots of product designs, such as ball launchers and water balloon launchers.
Next, we began making our products. This required lots of teamwork, communication and resilience!
Finally, we tested our products and evaluated them against our plans and design criteria. We considered what went well and what we would change to improve their function.
