On Wednesday 13th June, year 2 enjoyed a fabulous trip to the beach. We stopped at the Clock Tower for a spot of drawing before continuing down to South Bay (stopping once again to eat lunch and make daisy chains!)
Once at the beach we created wonderful sand sculptures by building up the sand, cutting it away and decorating it with shells and pebbles. Before setting off home we searched for hidden treasure (shells, stones and sea glass!)
The children showed great resilience on the long walk back up to school and were a real credit to Wheatcroft school!
What a great day! (and we were very lucky with the weather!)
