Wheatcroft CP School was opened in 1968 and is housed in a pleasant building which contains five classrooms. There are also three prefabricated buildings on site. There is an attractive hall, two playgrounds and a fair sized playing field, which adjoins that of our neighbours St. Martin's Church of England Primary School with whom we share a good working relationship. Three special features of our school are the computer suite, the Jubilee Garden and the small group teaching area. All three came into being as a result of children, parents and teachers working together.
