Welcome to the Year 3 page!

Mrs Gridley is the class teacher. We are also supported by Mrs McGlinchey, Mrs Silby and Mrs Chapman.  Mr Collins and Mrs Hayes teach the class on Thursday afternoon.

We have an exciting year ahead as we begin our journey through Key Stage 2.

We will learn to become independent and resourceful learners throughout the year.

We will be learning about lots of new topics. These include: Stone Age, Super Scarborough, Around the World, Roman Remains, Green Fingers and All You Can Eat. 

We will be focusing on our local area as a driver for our learning through all the curriculum subjects, e.g. looking at rock formations on the coastline.  We will incorporate off-site visits connected to our topics to help create memorable learning experiences.  In music, Miss Andrews will be teaching the class to play the recorder and learn to read music.

Things to remember:

Every day - Reading book and reading record.

Thursday and Friday - P.E. kits.

Tuesday - Library books. 

Wednesday - Recorders.
